OPEN Top Rope Belay Lesson
This top rope lesson allows up to 6 people to learn how to belay climbers. We require a minimum of 2 people to book into this lesson for it to run; if you want to participate as a single, that's fine!
You will learn:
- All about harnesses and how to put them on and check fit to ensure safety
- How to tie and check knots essential to climbing in a climbing gym
- The industry standard PLUS belay technique
- Everything you need to know to pass a top rope belay check at the Grotto
"Open class" means other people might sign up too! You might meet some new friends and future climbing partners!
Top rope belay lessons include a 2 week membership with rentals for non-members!
Bookings must be made at least 3 days in advance of a lesson. Cancellations will be fully refunded if cancellations are requested at least 3 days in advance of the lesson start. Cancellations made within 3 days of course start will forfeit the deposit paid.
A deposit of 30% of the total price is required to reserve spots in each lesson. You may complete your purchase in advance on your online account or in person at our Front Desk. Payment is required prior to the start of the lesson.
